Questions We Hear The Most

What comes with my rental?
The purchase of a rental in our program includes access to the home during your reserved dates, all advertised amenities, our minimum required items and a starter pack of supplies. Our starter-pack includes toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap, hand soap, laundry detergent, dish detergent, trash bags, and a wrapped sponge. All homes also include cleaning and off-site laundering of the linens as part of the overall rental cost. Regular check-in time is at 4:00 pm on the day of arrival and check-out occurs at 11:00 am.

Do children count as people?
All of our rentals are permitted for a set maximum occupancy according to the city or county regulations in which the rental resides. This occupancy will be displayed on the property page as well as the booking page. Children are included in the overall head count. If your party size increases or decreases please notify us. If a larger rental is needed our rentals can house up to 21 guests, or up to 55 guests within 1 block if homes are rented in conjunction.

How do I access my home once I’ve reserved it?
Two days before your stay you will receive a guest arrival email detailing access information, driving directions, and Wi-Fi information if applicable for this rental. If your home access code is a 4-digit number the rental features a lock box. If your home access code is a 6-digit number the rental features a keyless lock.

Are early check-ins or late check-outs possible?
Early check-ins are possible and if interested in an early check-in we ask guests to call on their day of arrival to see about the possibility of this. Until the day of the reservation, housekeeping and reservations are constantly influx, making it difficult to authorize a check-in before hand. Late check-outs are not possible and our check-out time of 11 am is firm for all reservations unless guests add additional days onto the stay.

If I rent over the weekend and have a problem, can I reach someone?
Oregon Beach Vacations is open every day of the week, from 9 am – 5 pm Monday through Friday to 10 am – 5 pm Saturday and Sunday. In the event of emergency guests can contact us 24/7, 365 days out of the year by calling our main number at 503-528-7480. This line is also open to after-hours reservations.

I can’t attend my rental, what happens now?
Guests needing to change or cancel their reservation should reference our cancellation policy included below. If you’re within 30 days of your stay and cannot attend, travel insurance may cover the cost of a cancellation depending on circumstances. Barring this, guests are welcome to relocate their reservation up to a year in advance of the current date if there are more suitable dates.

Cancellation Policy; No Shows; Travel Insurance. Rental payments are refundable, less 30% of the total reservation rent and fees, which are non-refundable, for cancellations received 30 or more days before the first night of your reservation. No full or partial refunds will be granted for no-shows or if you cancel within 30 days of the first night of your reservation, arrive after the first night of your reservation, or depart before the last night of your reservation. We highly recommend travel insurance to protect your purchase. If travel insurance is purchased, you may receive a refund, less the cost of travel insurance, for any nights of your reservation canceled due to death in the family, hospitalization, flight delays, road closures due to bad weather, or jury duty. Documentation may be required. No refunds or compensation will be given if the Property is unavailable (or if it is available but difficult to reach) for any reason outside of our reasonable control, including but not limited to adverse weather conditions, natural disasters, epidemics, other Acts of God, mechanical failures, acts of government agencies or authorities, or utility outages. You are encouraged to obtain appropriate travel insurance. In addition, for any unforeseen circumstance Company reserves the right to, among other actions, relocate guests to another similar property, cancel the stay, or issue a credit for a future stay. In the event the reservation is moved, changed or a future stay credit is provided, the reservation will not be eligible for cancellation or refund. If you do not book direct, and instead book through a third party, additional fees and refund and deposit policies may apply (but all other terms and conditions of this Agreement remain the same). Please review the policies of any third party booking sites prior to confirming your booking.
