This house was fantastic!

"We had 18 people here for a family reunion. This house was fantastic, lots of bedrooms and a huge family room/dining area with windows looking at the ocean. It is only a very short walk to the beach. The house needs updating but worked well for us. We rate it **** "

Mike L. from West Linn, OR, 08/18/2015

We had 21 people staying in the house and it was great!

"I would really give this place a 4 1/2 stars. I reserved this place for a weekend work retreat. We had 21 people staying in the house and it was great! A lot of space, beautiful view, and a super short walk to the beach. My only complaints are the lack of hand towels in the kitchen and no replacement garbage bags for the kitchen. "

"We had to make contact with the office to make final payment. We also had to call 2 days prior for check in information."

Noble P. from Beaverton, 01/04/2017

"We had a blast and there was tons of room for all of the family. The beach was just a short walk away with an amazing view of the ocean. We will definately be back."

Charleena J. from Portland, 03/07/2017

"We had a great time...everyone enjoyed the location and the house. Less than 100 yards from the beach with a nice view looking out the dining room window of the shoreline and beach."

Steven B. from Gresham, 04/02/2017

"The main complaint I have is the kids' room being so far away from the living room and then having easy access to outside. The house needs some TLC. "

Tina B. from Vilonia, 06/11/2017

"Was a great house, tons of beds and space, great location with the beach right outside. We happened to pick a weekend (the weekend of June 25th) that the casino lights off fireworks and couldn't be better positioned for it. Casino is close by if you like that sort of thing. I wish they had lounge chairs on the deck and a hottub but other than that was incredible."

ETHAN K. from SEATTLE, 06/27/2017

"Great views with easy beach access. Very retro on the inside, everything was a bit old and rundown but we have small children so be fear of them spiking etc! Held our large extended family easily. Would book again."

Bonnie B. from Salem, 07/18/2017

"The house was perfect for our family gathering. The layout is excellent for many different people coming and going. Large common area lends well to being together. Beach access is steps away. The view is glorious! All that stayed will highly recommend it to friends for large gatherings. "

"Was great had a couple down parts. Thot it was Handicap accessible. But wasn't
Wifi-kept acting up. Some of is couldn't connect. Reset it an not better.
But loved every minute there. Great house but allot of stairs was awesome for the eclipse. Family time. Some day I hope to come back for a few days with jus my kids. Keep me updated on specials and rentals.speciala how to save $$$ to stay. I tried asking 2 days after we did the 1st reservation 3 weeks B4 of its cheaper to rent by the week then by the odd # days. But never got a response and I did try call back right when the rooms on hold. And not sure what happened Xtra.fees.hurt
The guest house fridge was really fo smelling. So kids had to walk cold drinks back their & Feel like wen extended my stay that I got ripped off by extra fees
.
King sizes beds lil too stiff. "

"Our weekend at Captain John's Beach House was a good one. A few things that need attention are: a few extra blankets are needed; the ice maker sprung a leak; the oven needs to be updated- with 22 people and an oven that "kinga" works not good; the couch had a distinct urine smell and the entire side of one of the chairs is unattached to the chair. There was ample room for all of us to spread out and of course - THE BEACH was perfect."

from Clackamas, 08/29/2017

"Although the view was awesome from the deck & dining area - the grounds were dirty and unmaintained. I cleaned up garbage, broken glass & even pulled weeds & cut blackberry vines that had overgrown the steps to the mother-in-law's quarters. Some of the cups were dirty, the windows were filthy. Ran out of TP for the number of guests we had so had to buy more. The list goes on. We will not return, very sad because if it was properly maintained it could be a great beach location. "

What are the room configurations? As in how many beds in each room?

Asked On 02/06/2016 Answered on 02/08/2016

Hello Natalie,

This Lincoln City vacation rental features the following sleeping arrangements: Bedroom 1 and 2 both have one king bed and one twin bed. Bedroom 3 and 4 both have one queen bed. Bedroom 5 has one double bed and three bunk beds. In addition to these room, the home also features a mother-in-law quarters at the back of the home with two queen beds. Please let us know if you have any questions and thank you!

My mother has reserved the house for late August, and with our expected attendance we thought we may pull a tent trailer to Oregon for sleeping the overflow. Is there a parking spot for a tent trailer?

Asked On 04/06/2016 Answered on 04/09/2016

Thanks for the great question.  This house is so large you might be able to park inside, but sadly the answer is no to outside parking.  The city limits the number or cars and type of vehicles that can be parked.  The house is so close to Chinook Winds RV park that you might consider parking it there.  It's only about a 3-5 minute walk from the house.  Have fun!
