Recent Reviews About This Property

Our little bit of heaven on the Oregon coast.

"Second time now renting this home. The setting is just about perfect. Just a few rock hewn steps down to the beach. Panorama windows on the ocean side, so the ocean is never out of site. The garage is actually usable at this property (not all that common in our experience. Friendly to our blind doggy. Easy access to shopping (Safeway is about three minutes drive). Plan to make this our regular annual (or more frequent as able) coast visit. Only down side this trip, the beach is almost nothing but sand. Our favorite mornings are beach walking and agate hunting. Certainly not anyone's fault."

Beach Bungalow - Roads End

"We had a wonderful time at this rental. The advantages of staying here, in my opinion, are: Pets allowed, fenced yard, garage, beach front - large windows that looks out onto the beach, a beautiful beach to walk on, and great hiking trails nearby. A few things that could have been improved are: Trim weeds and stickers on the steps leading down to the beach, mow the lawn, update toaster, & a bar-be-cue would be nice. Other than that, it's great and I hope to come back next year."

Great place for all

"We had a very nice stay at this clean and well maintained house. Our 2 small dogs enjoyed the fenced in front yard. The only complaint we had was the way down to the beach. The "walkway" was so scary I didn't even attempt it. Great view of the beach and ocean though. "

Beach Bungalow Week

"Very comfortable stay. All was as described and we felt very cozy during all the storms of the week. Fireplace didn't work but other than that enjoyed our stay very much. We would come back and hope for more sun next time."

Laura M. from Sublimity, 03/13/2016

Hope to be back in the summer.

"First stay and hope to be back in the summer when I have longer daylight to enjoy the beautiful view.Great beach access across a small back yard. Very comfortable accommodations. A little isolated for teen activities as I was told to expect. "

Would stay at this property again and again.

"This was a great stay for us. We had plenty of room and all amenities were as shown. The view was gorgeous. It was so nice to have our fur baby be welcomed. We did call the rental company because we could not get in but they were courteous and helped us right away. Would stay at this property again and again. "

Peaceful & comfortable

"The Beach Bungalow was just perfect for our family, my husband, myself & our 2 Jack Russell's (Rocco & Sasha). Peaceful & comfortable are the two words that come to mind to describe this property. We had a wonderful time and can't wait to come back again. "

Delores M. from Vancouver, WA, 05/13/2015

"Overall, a very nice experience.

Non-functional fireplace was a disappointment.
Fortunately, there was a backup heater.
Fireplace is the main source of heat.
We checked in at 4:00 pm.
The house was at 50 degrees (which was understandable).
Tried to get the fireplace going but the electronic pilot light was kaput.
Called the management at 4:15 pm.
They said they would email the local staff handyman.
No promise of when or if it would be fixed.
Mr. Handyman should up at 1:00 pm the next day.
"Yep, it's dead"
Said he would call the repair place and get someone out on Monday.
We were leaving on Sunday, so.......
Like I said, the little wall heaters were just able to keep up....noisy, but warm.......

The view was great.
The neighborhood was peaceful.
The pup had a great time chasing balls on the beach.
The house has everything you could ever think of needing at the beach.
Kites, chairs, firewood, beach toys, etc.

We didn't do any cooking, but all the accessories seemed to be there and functional.

The house is about the right size for Mom, Dad and a couple of kids.
More than four is going to be cramped.
There is a really nice larger home a couple of houses down, but it probably costs a lot more.

The home is a little old, but well kept.
Think of going to grandma's small 1950's beach house.

Highly recommended after they replace the fireplace.
Maybe you won't need the fireplace in the summer.....oh wait....Oregon Coast......

"Charming, cozy and comfortable. Thoughtfully appointed. Two issues: Ceiling leaked in master bedroom during a big rainstorm and shower head dripped continuously. View spectacular! Had a great time."

VICKI K. from Portland, 02/13/2017

"House was great with a fabulous view. Nobody has a better view. Close to casino and great eating"

Tom T. from Welches, 02/27/2017

"Had 4 very enjoyable nights in the Beach Bungalow house."

from Oregon City, 03/07/2017

"So glad this is back to being a vacation rental. We had pouring rain 2 days, but last day absolutely beautiful. The owners even leave a little basket of "things you might forget" in the bathroom. We especially like this house because we can take our 2 dogs and they have a fenced front yard. Master bed is VERY comfortable. Perfect view of the beach. Love the gas fireplace. The house was clean. They have lots of extra supplies (poopie bags, beach iitems, etc). We especially liked the proximity to the casino."

Ann J. from Yakima, 03/19/2017

"Great little home with very personal touches. The house is very cozy, with nice notes from the owners and very cute decorations. The view is outstanding, beach access was great and the fenced yard made the trip that much better for us and the pups. "

Tina R. from Portland, 04/18/2017

"Loved it! We had an awesome time at the beach with our dogs at the ocean. I especially appreciated the small yard on the street side of the house to let the dogs out first thing in the morning."

Cathy F. from Spokane, 05/15/2017

"It was great. Loved the house. Gorgeous view."

Robin N. from Colton, 05/21/2017

"very nice place for 4 people,(and dogs) thank you for putting twin beds in one room! Be sure to go to Side Door Cafe in Gleneden for a wonderful meal. Nice shops in town. Car in garage and pickup in driveway. "

Joan L. from Stayton, 06/03/2017

"Everything was great although we did not have wifi for a 2 days but I must say the ocean was beautiful music. The problem came when we wanted to watch the hockey game, but we got it just in time to see the last inning. All and all the house and ocean was great and enjoyable! Thanks to all that made it a great stay."

from Coeurd'Alene , 06/13/2017

"Modest, comfortable cabin with an outstanding ocean view and beach access. Fits us perfectly and our fur baby can come and enjoy as well. My only suggestion would be to have some type of lawn chairs so one can sit outside and enjoy the view. The ones currently are in disrepair. Maybe a picnic table or such. Thank you though for the lovely stay. We have enjoyed our stay before and will look forward to returning again."

Gregory S. from Spokane, 06/14/2017

"Great location and place. Thank you!"

from Castle Rock, 07/07/2017

"We really enjoyed our stay at Beach Bungalow. The location was great and the price couldn't be beat. Our dogs loved the beach and getting to go on vacation with us for a change. The only negatives were that the cable TV didn't work, which was odd, because cable internet was working. This wasn't a big deal, though - we weren't really there to watch TV. The other negative was that there were ants in the kitchen. They didn't get into anything, but...
Overall, though, it was a great visit and we would definitely come back for a return visit."

Brad S. from Richland, 07/21/2017

"We've been coming to this property every year for the past 6 years and have always enjoyed ourselves immensely. However, we won't be going back because the price for July 2018 has more than doubled. "

Trudy C. from keizer, 08/07/2017

"Upon entering the property our jaws dropped! The first thing you are is the panoramic view of the ocean!
The rock steps to the beach were very manageable.First meal was at Mo,s in Lincoln City. We had. Wonderful week! Would love to go back during the winter for a look at some storms!"

from Caldwell, 08/18/2017

"This is our third or fourth year at the Bungalow. Not fancy, but everything we need. Working kitchen, two bedrooms, our puppy dog is welcome, and only steps to the beach. Or just open the blinds and take it all in. Love staying here."

James T. from Snohomish, 09/27/2017

"Early in September we came for a return visit to this property & we enjoyed it again. Just the right size for the four of us, comfortable, clean & with a beautiful view & easy access to beach. The cottage is in a quiet location, yet close to town for shopping & restaurants. We brought our own lounge chairs for sitting outside. A well equipped kitchen made meal preparations easy although a barBQ would be a nice touch. On the one night it rained, we noticed a couple of spots where the roof leaked so we hope that gets fixed soon. Overall a comfortable place to relax & enjoy the sunset. "

from Surrey, 09/29/2017

"Loved our Beach Bungalow. The only change I would suggest updating the living area furniture. Very broken down and uncomfortable. "

Lori E P. from Bakersfield, 10/28/2017

"We've rented Beach Bungalow many times and always enjoy our visit here. The view is to die for, the location to Lincoln City is perfect, and the general condition of the home is good, but. Having said that, this home could use some updates and refurbishing. The couch and living room chairs have seen better days and are not very comfortable. The bathroom shower curtain liner was moldy and needed a thorough cleaning. We had ants in the kitchen during our stay. And the exterior of the home needed a good cob-webbing. We will continue to rent this cottage, but I wish the homeowners would fix it up a bit. "

jennifer b. from MULINO, 11/04/2017

"Loved watching people and frolicking dogs on the beach. This house has a wonderful view and good beach access. We have enjoyed staying here the last few years. House is clean, and cozy - perfect for 2 or 4 people. Couch is in in good shape, but hard to get out of, because it's so low. Great fenced yard for a dog. NOTE: Parking for 2 cars is a challenge. The garage will only hold a narrow width and short car due to washer & dryer. Driveway will hold an SUV."
