Recent Reviews About This Property

"We had a great time. The house was clean and spacious for our party of 7. We especially enjoyed our walks on the beach. I think the only thing that could have made our experience better is if the additional fees had been disclosed in advance."

"I really enjoyed my stay and would definitely stay there again. Lots of roomy space for Me, my Sweetheart and 4 kids-Three of them teenagers. Beautiful and very quiet and the beds were even comfortable.

Only thing I would suggest is to make sure the dusting is kept up...a little dusty w/cobwebs on the lamps in the Master bed room."

Teresa D. from Portland, 04/10/2017

"Very nice place to stay. However some of the electrical outlets didn't work. Jucuzzie water not very warm. Window covering in master bath not good. After dark you can see right in. I would give our stay a 4 star rating. It would have been a 5 star otherwise.

Quality of furniture was good. Maintenance needs some work on the inside. Electrical outlets not working. Some night lights not working because of outlets not working. Loved the location. Nice and quite."

"We had a family reunion here on July 18-22. We were quite pleased with the house, with a few exceptions. There were 9 of us, and we needed both the sofa bed and the air bed. We found bedding for the sofa bed after a considerable search (bedding was scattered in closets throughout the house), but we ended up with no sheets or pillows and pillow cases for the air bed so made do with a quilt and decorative throw pillows. Other than that the house was well stocked for our gang. House was clean with the exception of the gas grill which took a bit of cleaning before we could use it, and there were bags of stinking garbage left in the garage, which we removed and put in the bin outside. Someone came around on the second day of our stay and emptied the bin, which we appreciated. The house is not good for the elderly as there are stairs that go up to each room. Probably just three or four each time, but many instances. This was not part of the description of the home, so be aware. There are handrails, though, so even though we had an elderly person with us, she was able to use the rails and did not have difficulty. We appreciated the hand-held shower in the master bath and with the shower seat we had brought, along with a riser seat for the toilet, Grandma did just fine. The house has many artifacts and knick-knacks that the owners had collected, and we enjoyed looking at them. Lots of breakables, though, so keep that in mind if you have small children. The best thing about this house by far is the absolutely breathtaking view of the ocean from the deck and from the front room. We enjoyed watching the boats and the whales (there were many) and loved watching the birds and squirrels play at the feeders on the deck. The beach is a private beach for the subdivision and is a short drive from the house. We had a great beach walk and were rewarded with a waterfall a short walk from the parking area. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again."

"A dated, but still charming property. The view of the Pacific Ocean beach is stunning from wide picture windows in the main rooms, although a bushy cliff below the house means you take a short walk or drive to the south to reach a private car park for beach access. We became fascinated with the history of the house and its family as there are so many pet ornaments and small photo albums. There are two main bedrooms, with en-suites, however, the third bedroom, above the garage has sloping walls and only a toilet and sink. We are usually glad to find some kitchen basics in a rental house, but this time all we found was an empty fridge smelling of fish. An up to date ‘welcome book’ about the property appliances and local visit suggestions would have been appreciated. We enjoyed our stay in the area, whale watching and the Yaquina Bay and Nye Beach restaurants. "

"coffe pot doesn't get hot enough. Upstairs sink does not always drain. Furniture worn out in some places. Not enough dishwater detergent. Overflowing trash can. Not enough trash can liners. Other than that is it is a nice place"

Norma W. from Medford, 09/12/2017

"The location of the house is perfect and every day we sat on the deck and watched pods of whales playing in the ocean. The experience was relaxing and the sun was out every day making for incredible sunsets. "

Janice W. from Somerset, 09/19/2017

"The house was clean. It has a beautiful view. The only thing wrong was not enough papertowels, napkins, dishsoap, and dishtowels. "
