Recent Reviews About This Property

Anja's House

"We absolutely LOVED the house! It was very quaint and well taken care of. I wish we would have spent our whole vacation there. It would have been nice to have a handicap ramp for visitors though. Would love to go back there in a couple years and spend the whole week there. Very convenient location, too."

"We stayed at Anja's retreat house for our annual girls trip to the beach. Great location-everything was within walking distance."

"I have been going to Seaside for 12 yrs. I chose this house for it's long driveway. I was told I could park our car trailer there/we were coming for the car show. But 2 wks before arriving, I was told no trailers. Previous houses have always been stocked with plenty of toilet paper, they only gave us 5 rolls and we were staying for 2 wks/8 people. 6 girls and we were inside because it rained most of the time. Usually homes have simple supplies like salt & pepper, cooking oil etc. but this house has nothing. We bought everything we needed to cook. Along with tin foil etc. We've always just bought that stuff if the house ran out and then left it. We left salt in the empty salt shaker. I would recommend this house only because of the location."

"Anja's Retreat is in a perfect location to enjoy all that Seaside has to offer. We parked the car in the off street parking and walked everywhere we wanted to go. Enjoyed a cup of coffee on the front porch every morning before heading out on that day's adventure. It was great!!

The house itself is an older, coastal home (kind of like going to Grandma's) but it is clean, the rooms are large, the furniture cozy and all of the appliances were in great working order. We would definitely stay here again. "

"Anja's retreat was in a perfect location for us. Two blocks from the beach and about the same from the shopping and restaurant area. The home was large enough to meet our needs (7 people). The interior is badly dated but clean and in good repair. Bring charcoal and lighters if you are planning to use the grills."

"This house is in a perfect location - super close to the promenade and more importantly the finish line of Hood To Coast. So glad we were able to get this location."

"We stayed in August with our family of 2 adults, three teenagers and a toddler. The house is located perfectly, a one minute walk to the sandy beach and 2 blocks from the main street with shops, arcade, ice cream etc. Perfect for our older kids to wander to alone while toddler napped etc. House has a TV with HDMI cable so we were able to connect our lap top for a movie in the evenings. The house is very dated with old carpet, & decor but it was clean and had everything we needed. Except for books and games! We would have loved to have had a selection of board games etc. to chose from and actually wandered to the thrift store to pick up a game and a puzzle. Now we know for next time to bring our own. There was enough dishes, serving utensils, soap etc. that we had no issues preparing meals but beware, there is not really any pantry items so BYO salt/pepper etc. if you're cooking. Oddly there were no batteries in any of the remote controls so bring your own AAA's if you plan on using the tv or dvd player. We didn't know that you were allowed to have fires on the beach in the evenings so next time we'll come prepared but we were able to buy a complete kit (including s'more ingredients!) from the Ebb Tide hotel next door. There is a Safeway close by for groceries. The deck is large and has lots of chairs, it was a nice place to sit in the evenings but there isn't really a view other than the streets surrounding the house. Good people watching though as it is a very touristy area. We would stay here again as it was a good experience but will likely try a few other places down the coast in years to come just for comparison!"
