The house needs some repairs and more attention to the dirty windows needing to be cleaned and the dangerous wood piles in garage

by SJS
We stayed here Feb 2022. Upon our arrival my husband had to spend an hour on getting the north overhead garage door to open. Lots of wood in garage with nails upon getting out of your vehicle once you get it in the garage. South facing picturesque window has broken string to lift blind. Broken tempeture setting on oven. Hot tub not working. Beds are extremely uncomfortable. Windows were filthy with no screens on any windows in the home. And to top is all off there is a homeless person just below the deck that has pitched a very large tent and looks like it has been there for quite sometime. Did not feel safe leaving any windows or front door opened along with the constant stinch of Marijuana smoke coming from the tent that you can smell when you are on the deck. The only great thing about this home was the view in which you had to go outside to appreciate it do to the broken blind not lifting and the nice and quiet pretty neighborhood.

We stayed here after cancelling a ( supposedly high end ) hotel reservation

by Tim Grimes
We stayed here after cancelling a ( supposedly high end ) hotel reservation. Nice surprise! It was older, with much deferred maintenance obvious, but decently prepared and more than adequate. Very restful and quiet, with a nice view. Loved the covered parking. Only real problem was the door to the deck (lock stuck) and hot tub location. We had a nice time and will come here again!

Ebbing house

Very nice older 70’s decor home. The view is nice, loved the hot tub. The beds were very stiff and hard but we made due. There could be better light in the kitchen. But overall it was sufficient for all of us. The entrance to the rental was through the garage up steep steps so not good for elderly. Would stay again!

The Ebbing Experience

Well built house in a great location Game room downstairs was a bonus. Be sure you tell them to warm up the hot tub. It took over 8 hours to get to temperature.

Needs updates, not terrible.

by Anonymous
We were placed at this property by Oregon Beach Vacations, after our original rental was found dirty when we checked in. This property has a beautiful view of the ocean, but unfortunately one large window near the dining table is completely blocked by bushes. The home itself was issues in bathrooms and kitchen. We did find that all of the beds were extremely uncomfortable and very unstable. They wobbled and felt like they'd give out and collapse with our next move. One bedroom is down the garage and was so cold our entire stay, no one used it and had to sleep in the living room because of it. The living dining/area was very spacious and gave our kids space to play. There is a foosball table and ping pong table in the garage/basement that we enjoyed, however the ping ping table was kept together with clasps...which we found could be dangerous to kids if the clasps came off, causing the table to collapse. A lot of potential in this home, and as a last minute move here caused by other issues....we enjoyed our time.

Great view

The view and hot tub are what make this house, the fire place is nice too. I give those 3 things 5 stars. The lighting is bad, could be remedied by making sure all light bulb are working (several were burnt out when we were there) or light paint on panelling. Honestly we felt dirty & uncomfortable on the couches because they are very old. New couches and light paint could help make anyone's stay way more comfortable.

Just Okay

by Samantha V.
The house was circa 1970, which wouldn't have been bad, but it felt like the furniture was original. It was very broke down and hard to sit on. The place was not very clean, there was a half drank bottle of pop behind the couch, a sock in the pull out, and the floor was sticky, this was very concerning especially right now when things should be extra clean. The layout of the house was nice, but the room in the basement is not a legal room. No egress window. If something happened down there, a person would be trapped. The bed felt like it was circa 1970 too, very squeaky and not very comfortable. The lighting wasn't good, and what was there, it seemed like half the bulbs were burnt our. If the house/furniture was updated and an the room downstairs made compliant, this would be a great little place to come too. Good location. Loved the loop, walked down to the street at the end of Mo's up the beach toward the Inn at the Spanish head and to the stairs that were the beach access just north of the house and to the house. About a 1/2 ish to complete the loop.

Great View.

by Justin Q.
Overall - great stay! Great location and having a hot tub overlooking the coast was amazing. The house has a fun retro feel and plenty of space to enjoy yourselves. All of the appliances worked as intended. The hot tub and property was very clean. A few issues. When we arrived the door was left open by the cleaning staff with the key inside the door, which was a major safety concern for us. It was addressed with the property staff, which was excellent. The recommended way to get inside of the house was to enter through the garage, which has a very steep flight of stairs. If you had mobility issues or trouble with stairs, this is not the place for you to stay. The property had a very bad smell at the top floor. After a few hours of trying to figure it out, it was discovered that a bunch of broccoli and carrots were left in the sink and not disposed of, after running the sink disposal and leaving the doors open for a few hours, things were normal. The furniture and beds are in great need of updating. The beds were bowed like a bowl and were very noisy and felt like sleeping on cardboard, but we made it work. The majority of the upstairs/living room furniture needs to be updated to something with more back support but that's my personal preference. In a nutshell, great location and the group I was with had a great time. Based on the pricing and the above issues, this wouldn't be my first pick for a return trip, but I would stay here again. Thank you!

Disappointed

by Robert G.
Insufficient lighting in living room. Furniture was uncomfortable. Steps up to door were treacherous and overgrown. Stairs from garage felt like climbing a ladder. Living room television is so small it couldn’t be seen from couch.

Needs some attention.

by Gayle V.
Our stay was nice however there were several things about the house that need attention 1. A board on the deck is not nailed down at all. 2. The over does not keep attemp. 3. There should be a child safety lock on the door to the stair. 4. There are no extra blankets. 5. The dryer does not work properly. It take several hours today a load. The knob is totally broken off. 6. One of the front shades did not open. 7. The refrigerator freezes thing at back. 8. The garbage can was fulll outside for the first 3 days we were there. Some of these thing are safety issues.

Great Winter Getaway

by Anonymous
We wanted a quick getaway to break up the winter blues. We were grateful to have Ebbing House to stay at. The house has a beautiful view from the deck and with the King Tides, you there was not much sand to walk on so the view made up for it. We used the hot tub on the deck and although we had people in the houses on either side, it felt private. Everything was clean and in order. Had 2 very unexpected restful nights in the king bed. Overall a great long weekend. Our only minor concern was the access into the house. You have to go through the garage and up a flight of stairs. If you have any knee problems or any walking issues, this would be a problem.

Overall, we had a great stay at this property. The view was great, and the amenities were as advertised. However, I found the beds too hard and the furniture in the living room was very uncomfortable. That being said, I would stay there again.

Home was ok, seemed a little musty at first, but went away when we opened doors for awhile. Deck on south side was soft, floor had to large a span between stringers. The view was very good.

A glimpse at a simpler time

by Doug N.
A facebook post by my niece led to my family daring me find a really nice winery enroute to a beach house. After a couple weeks and way too many websites , I came back to Oregon beach vacations and the Ebbing house. You can spend a lot more money up and down the coast , but if you want value and a view of a simpler time , then here it is. Ebbing is an amazing older home with lots of quirks and lots of charm. By quirks I mean it has 1960's wall paneling and 70's orange formica counters in the kitchen and its endless cupboards. After a few days the quirks fade as you realize you are on top of an oceanfront bluff with amazing views of the beach and Siletz bay. The house is very clean and the beds are newer and comfy including the hide a bed my wife and I slept on. The gas fire place is nice after the sunsets and did I mention the hot tub out on the deck ? All of this for much much less than any other agency offered. The beach access is a 5 minute walk north or a 5 minute car ride south. I came through on the winery , Van Duzer and OBV did on the beach house Ebbing. We will be back again.

Spring Break

by David H.
Acceptable but could have a little newer coffee pot and a blender woulda been nice too. Windows were filthy which was disappointing, had to go outside to really enjoy the view. The view could be vastly better with a little tree trimming! the proximity to local stores and restaurants were nice.

Beautiful Weekend

by Christopher N.
My wife, our two dogs, and I had a wonderful stay at Ebbing in Lincoln City. It was exactly what we needed. The house had plenty of room for much more than just us and the view is spectacular. We spent a majority of the weekend watching the ocean and each sunset from the large deck. One thing should be noted, the house is located on a cliff high above the beach. The beach access is not a far walk down the street but has many stairs. I would not recommend this location for individuals that want to walk on the beach and have mobility issues. If that isn't a problem or you just want a beautiful view than Ebbing is perfect for you.
