The quiet banks offer great local wildlife and bird watching, with preserved land along the bay and high grassy bluffs.
Check out these tips to guarantee a fantastic day afloat:
Get geared up at this locally owned and operated marina shop where you can rent kayaks, stand-up paddle boards, and Hobie (pedal) kayaks. The friendly and knowledgeable crew will help launch you straight from their dock. They also welcome kids of all ages, and your four-legged friends, too!
You can access the waterways from the Little Nestucca Boat Ramp on Media Loop Road in Pacific City.

Or make an evening of it, and head to Pelican Brewing Company for sunset views and elevated pub fare.
