Lincoln City Finders Keepers: Special Spring Break Float Drop Days 

Let the hunt begin! A visit to Lincoln City is not complete without hunting for a hand-blown glass float. During the year, local Float Fairies hide extra glass float treasures along the beaches from Roads End to Siletz Bay during Special Drop Days. 

This Spring Break, March 16 – April 14, an additional 200 glass floats will be hidden for seekers to find and keep!  

Rules of the Hunt 

• Floats can be found above the high tide line and below the beach embankment.  
• Floats are placed on the beach during daylight hours only.  
• Floats are hidden throughout the day, not just at one time.  
• Floats are out there everyday rain or shine. On rare occasions, weather and ocean conditions can create unsafe situations. Official notice of any cancellations will be made on our social media channels and website.  
• One float per person, per year.   

Float Registration 

• When you find a glass float, call 541-996-1274, text FLOATS to 866-943-0443, or visit this registration page to register your treasure. You’ll receive a Certificate of Authenticity and information about the artist who crafted your float. 
• If you would rather register your float in person, stop by the Lincoln City Visitor Information Center at 801 SW Hwy 101, 4th floor Monday through Friday 8am – 5pm. 

Interested in Making Your Own Glass Float?  

Book an appointment with a local glassblower to create your own glass art at Lincoln City Glass Center. Choose from a votive candle holder, glass heart, paperweight, jellyfish paperweights or a fluted bowl. Class costs range from $75-$225. Items must cool in their kiln overnight and are available for pickup at 10am the next following day, or you can choose to have your work of art shipped home.
