We thoroughly enjoyed our annual Family Week again in B-Haven. We've been coming to Shorepine Village for years and always try to get this particular condo - appreciated the upgraded seating in Great Room as well as shower doors (that replaced shower curtains). Our only issue was lack of saucepans - in an otherwise well-stocked kitchen. Open Nest rental employees were extremely helpful - thank you! We'll be back!

RV outlet on outside of garage made charging EV\'s speedy. Hot tub was nice but a long trek up and down stairs. New everything, many with stickers still. Fun place for a family

Got placed at this house sight unseen as our previous rental wasn’t cleaned before arrival. We were so happy with the choice. Ample bedrooms and bathrooms for our family of 6. View is spectacular! All kitchen amenities were there for cooking on great appliances. So clean. Didn’t worry about baby on floor at all. Drive to beach is short but you will pay for parking in Pacific City. Hot tub was very nice. We didn’t use as the stairs are very long. Fire pit looked nice too. Beds were comfy. Only thing missing was a can opener. Would gladly stay again. It was like a 4 star hotel!

My husband and I stayed for a long weekend beach getaway. The location was perfect - easily walkable to Cape Kiawanda and nearby shops/stores. The condo was clean and comfortable. We would definitely stay again.

Before we arrived, we received a voice mail stating our check in time would be pushed back 3 hours. Two more times it was delayed, but we were not notified by the management company. The poor housekeeper had to be the one to tell us, as she was rushing to finish. We finally got into the property 4.5 hours late. By then it was getting dark, and we still had to unload the car. We tried to reach the management company via text, and again by phone after leaving. They never returned our calls. I was finally able to reach them by calling the number on the website, not the number they had given us. I will never rent from this company again. The house was average, but there was still dog poop all over the back yard, and the cleaning was not all it should have been. We felt bad for the housekeeper, she should not have been put in this position.

A friend & I stayed at this beach house and it was more than amazing. It was an easy 90 min drive from PDX. The comfort level, the beauty, the space and view were more than we expected. We felt like we were staying in a 5star resort with the quality of linens, kitchen appliances, decor, and style. We walked out of the door and onto the sand. The upper and lower decks gave us beautiful views of the ocean and sunsets. Restaurants, shops, and a market were very close by, so leaving the gated/safe community to get what we needed was very simple. Plus, every morning we saw a dear and doe in the bushes. The owners and Open Nest have gone over and beyond to make staying at this beach home well worth it. We can’t wait to come back, stay here and do more hiking and relaxing.

My husband and I and our two dogs needed a quick getaway from the 100 plus temps! We couldn’t have asked for a better home. The house was immaculate - clean, well equipped, comfortable beds and nice linens. My husband had a short trip to his favorite surf break and I enjoyed the peaceful fenced in back yard with my fur babies. Thanks Open Nest for making our stay wonderful.

First of all the location is a little further than we anticipated. Not really anyones fault. The washer handle is broke so you didn\'t know what wash cycle it was. The bed in one room is broke down in the middle so when you role you role into your partner. The cleaning crew needs to do a better job! I found toilet paper stuck to the wall by the light switch and toothpaste on the wall there also. Cob webs all over the house. Under the beds look like they haven\'t been cleaned in months. I dropped something and it went under the bed and there was junk under the bed. Would I rent this again maybe but I\'d rather be closer to the beach so probably not.

The home was clean and comfortable and the perfect size for our 3 adults, 4 teenagers and 2 dogs. Plenty of room. The location is awesome with easy access to the beach. We would definitely stay there again, but we would stay longer!

This is a beautiful condo in a great location. It\'s even nicer than in the pictures. Must have been updated since an earlier review because furnishings seemed new and everything was in perfect condition. Convertible couch was very nice and comfortable. So much better than a hide-a-bed. Nicely appointed kitchen had everything we needed. Easy walk to the beach and Mo\'s. This was great for our relaxing friend\'s getaway weekend.

We loved this house! It was situated right on the beach with amazing views of Haystack Rock. The home was light and bright with comfortable modern furnishings. The kitchen was well-equipped, the beds were SO comfortable, and the laundry room was lovely. We appreciated all of the towels, the big bathtub, and the indoor and outdoor toys for the kids. We enjoyed all of the local activities: climbing the sand dunes, boogie boarding, exploring the tide pools, beach bonfires, fishing and crabbing, and even a camel ride. An adventurous and relaxing summer vacation!

We really enjoyed our stay at Best Nest. We had 6 adults, a child and infant. The house was very well stocked with kitchen gadgets, linens and supplies. The garage provides ample bikes, wagons, chairs, and sand castle toys. There were a few concerns we had but the management was receptive and where willing to correct any immediate concerns. I few suggestions for making future tenants stay better would be to take the rubber screw covers off the tv stand (our 12 month old kept trying to take them off and put them in his mouth)…& one extra mirror in the entry or bedroom would help! Great access to the beach!

We will never rent this vacation rental again. We felt very unwelcomed in this neighborhood. The Neighbors on each side of house are home owners and do not like having a vacation rental there. The neighbor to the right has a sign on his house side window facing the vacation rental showing a gun that states \" I do not call the police\" He also parks his red truck in the parking by the rental house so no one can park there instead of his own double car garage driveway. There is a sign in the kitchen with house rules \" No noise what so ever\" We are a quiet family. This is not a place where you can gather and enjoy your vacation, or take children if they make noise. We have rented plenty vacation rentals at Seaside Oregon and have never felt uncomfortable because of location. The house is big and dusty. There is no bbq grill or table on back deck. The beach is a far walk from the house. If you plan on enjoying yourself, having a large group or visitors, this is not the place to stay at.

My friends and I had an amazing experience at this location. We loved everything from the 2-minute bike ride to the beach, to the spacious and comfortable living room, and gated community. Highly recommend for a beach getaway!

We chose this property because of the view, as we wanted something that was large and roomy yet secluded, but close to the many beaches close-by. As we are avid whale watchers, we want a large deck to view them as they swam by., we were not disappointed.

I wanted to love this place but, it’s not great for the money. Some of the furnishings are in serious need of replacement. The mattresses are really uncomfortable, the chairs in the living room are near falling apart. The kitchen is stocked with necessary items to cook but the non stick coating is peeling off the pans. Nice view of the ocean and beach but zero beach vibe inside. Bare walls in the main living area. Wouldn’t take much effort from the home owners to make this a place people would return to year after year. As it is now, I would not return for the money they are asking.

This home is beautiful and very clean. It has everything you need from cooking supplies to games and beach toys for the kids. Our family of 8 had a comfortable stay and this house along with the community was amazing. There are tons of restaurants and activities nearby. We enjoyed Stimulus Coffee, Cold Water + Coffee, Pelican Brewery, and there’s 2 grocery stores that have some good options so u can make dinner at home. The BBQ is great as well. Thank you for letting us stay at this beautiful home we will definitely be back soon!

Great house! Comfortable and nicely decorated with a fabulous kitchen that is well stocked! Having the option of the ocean and the river made for a great variety of things to do. From the back decks we saw horse riders and deer everyday which was so fun for the grandkids. And the lookout (widows walk) room was the perfect room for our oldest grandchild to sleep in and awesome views as well. This is a great place to stay with top notch service! Thank you Open Nest!

We stayed for a long weekend, and thoroughly enjoyed the location. Right by the water with beautiful views. The downstairs definitely smelled old, maybe moisture? And I was disappointed with the failed seal on the picture window. The view was distorted by condensation and built up residue.

Loved the house, it was furnished so well! We rent a house every year and this one was furnished the best. It was clean & cozy. Very kid friendly. Quiet neighborhood centrally located. Very close to beach, nice little walk. I was a bit disappointed though upon our arrival at the condition of the back deck area. It was very very dirty with umbrella and parts on the ground and dirty table and chairs. I think the owners would also disapprove of the condition of it when we arrived.

Where do I start? Day one, the communication was very timely. We walked into the house and it was immaculate. We go out on the balcony/deck, and immediately we saw an eagle and some other birds. Since I love photography and taking pictures of birds it was the perfect spot to just sit there and scope them out.. The view is absolutely stunning and you overlook gorgeous greenery and an inlet, and then you see the ocean in the distance. We were comfortable, more so than you would be at another place or hotel. The town is small and quaint and most things do shut down pretty early which was noted in the other reviews and I believe the description. There is a little grocery store that has everything you need. Everything we wanted to see or do was within 90 minutes drive and the drives were absolutely gorgeous as well. On day two we found that there was a second eagle and so all of our mornings were spent on the balcony drinking coffee and just watching them make passes right in front of us. And there’s also a juvenile eagle as well. The other homes around were currently unoccupied and so it was very very quiet for us especially at night. There were deer in the neighboring yards. It was like a Disney movie! On the very last morning we made the mistake of accidentally locking ourselves out of the house. We contacted both Airbnb and the property management company to get support. Airbnb contacted the management company for us but the property management responded within about 15 minutes. And not even five minutes later Mitch showed up with a key to let us in! Such great service! I would absolutely stay at this property again!

We have stayed at several short term rentals and this was our favorite to date. Very clean and comfortable. Just as described and even better in person. Generally not the case with short term rentals. Property management was great and very responsive. We loved the curious sea cow with its great proximity to beach or a bowl or chowder at the Pelican(both a quick short walk). Comfortable beds and nice furnishings which often isn’t the case with some rentals. Won’t stay anywhere else if we make it back to Pacific City.

We have stayed at this rental many times in the past few years. It has everything you could possibly think in comfort. Lots of space inside and out. It even has a little play room with a foosball & ping pong table in what would be the garage. It is a very quiet neighborhood and a perfect place to get away and just relax. The creek in the back is great, sometimes you even have deer outside eating or walking by. All in all, truly no complaints. It’s always a great stay. We will definitely be back!

Our family ranged from age 1 to 75 and all enjoyed this beautifully furnished beach house, just a short walk from the waves. Whether playing pool, relaxing in the hot tub, enjoying a board game, or reading on one of the decks, there was ample activities and space for all. We did have one issue with the refrigerator so it was wonderful to have access 24/7 to management who addressed the issue quickly. We have stayed in numerous beach houses along the Oregon coast and this was the probably the cleanest! Plus a good supply of toilet paper, paper towels, and trash bags was a nice surprise. We would definitely stay here again!

This home was perfect for our trip to the Oregon Coast. It was very clean and the kitchen was well stocked. The beds were very comfortable. Each night we watched the beautiful sunsets on the back deck. A large kitchen table for meals and games. It was perfect!

DON\'T BE FOOLED BY THE VIEWS! This house is Stunning! Stunning that anyone thinks this is acceptable! Dont believe the description or the misleading pictures! This is a very smelly, dirty, ( no, not just typical coast smell) It is a really run down, not taken care of home with great views. I can\'t possibly list all of the disgusting disappointments with this home. First! The smell of mold hits you in the face! It is overpowering and visible in many places. Nothing in this home is cleaned properly. Dirt and stains on white towels and carpets. Dirty comforters and pillow cases. The kitchen has almost nothing and what they do have, needed cleaned before we could use it. No pots or pans. Certainly not enough cups, plates and utensils for large groups! Maybe enough randomness for 8! There was 1, yes 1, 8 inch low side frying pan! The appliances are old & iffy. The fire alarm goes off randomly at all hours, for zero reason. The Hot tub won\'t get slightly warm, let alone hot. It is surrounded by rust and cigarette butts. Bedrooms don\'t have curtains that block out light. They are broken and have holes. The beds are REALLY old, uncomfortable & dirty. I could go on! We are completely shocked that anyone would rent it out in this state of disrepair! It is a OLD, dirty house that no one has invested time or money into since 1980! It should be marketed as a big old really dirty, really run down house with great views! When we called and asked for help, we were told we could leave, but no other place to stay or help. So we were supposed to pack up everyone and have no place to go. It was and is not a great rental and the experience was very disheartening.

We love staying in Shorepine Village anyway and the Curious Sea Cow is a perfect example of rentals in this area. Very nicely accommodated, comfy couches and backs up against the trail so not only does it feel private but it's a nice walk to the beach. Very comfortable for our family and would also be comfortable for two families with small kids who can sleep together in one room on the bunk beds.

This home is breath taking. The view spectacular! The decor above and beyond my expectations. Our family enjoyed the peace and tranquility of this home. We made memories to cherish forever. I can hardly wait to go again. My grandson keeps asking me when we will go to the beach. He’s 3 and he loved it. I would recommend staying here for a week it’s just so beautiful .

Agate Cove is a lovely condo with the perfect location. It is thoughtfully and beautifully created to be peaceful and comfortable. The view of the beach is incredible, you can even see the Yaquina Head lighthouse. Then it is a short walk to all the restaurants and shops your heart desires. The food from the local restaurants was top-notch! I highly recommend Agate Cove! It is perfect for a weekend getaway or a week-long vacation!

We had a lovely stay at the Curious Sea Cow! It was a wonderful place to call “home” during this special Father’s Day trip. We didn’t take advantage of even half of what this home has to offer, though we did use the bikes to hop into town and get a coffee at our new vacation favorite, Cold Water & Coffee. There were also crab nets available, as well as items to use at the beach! Speaking of which, the beach is a short, though quite delightful, walk away on a paved trail which runs right behind the home. Easy! Pelican Brewing is not far away, and it is accessible from the beach. Makes for a nice jaunt. The home was impeccably clean, and easy to run during our 5 day stay. Thankful to use the washer and dryer so we weren’t bringing home a ton of dirty clothes! Only thing it doesn’t have… a hairdryer. Be sure and bring your own. We so enjoyed our stay here! We will remember it fondly for many years to come! Thank you, Curious Sea Cow!

This is the 3rd time we’ve stayed here because we love it so much!! We were happy to see the broken down couch had been replaced. The reclining chairs were replaced as well but both were broken unfortunately. The refrigerator wasn’t getting cold at all. We took the cover off the front and it was CAKED with dust. We vacuumed it and it seemed to work better. There was dog poop or something in one of the bedroom closets. The grass was VERY tall! The WiFi information in the email wasn’t correct. We had to mess around with the router and get the information off of it to log in. The house could definitely use a deep clean. We will stay here again because we love it but it just needs some attention and more thorough cleaning.

Beautiful home with breathtaking views ! This house had everything needed to make our stay enjoyable. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed to cook or grill outside. The beds were super comfortable as well. Whether sitting upstairs or down we had full view of the sunsets and sunrises. Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay! From climbing Cape Kiwanda to walking the beach and eating the delicious seafood in Pacific City. Such a great place to vacation!

Our family loved staying at this beautiful relaxing condo ! The views are amazing and we loved the covered deck. The kitchen had everything we needed plus we could cook while enjoying the unobstructed views . We didn’t even need to drive anywhere as there are so many cute restaurants and shops to walk to. The beach access is so close and we appreciated being able to walk right down to the beach anytime we wanted. Even when it rained we enjoyed being sheltered on the deck enjoying the lighthouse view while sitting on the ultra comfortable deck furniture. We will most certainly be staying here again when we visit Newport!

2 adults, same day reservation. Phone experience with Kimberly at Ocean Beach Properties was very positive. Told we could check in at 4:00 PM. At 3:26 PM received a text saying that we wouldn’t be able to check in until after 6 PM and housekeeping manager would contact us. Never heard from anyone. Opened the lockbox at 5 PM and found keys. Keychain holding the keys was broken, and one key fell through the deck and into the overgrown grass below. Found key with great difficulty and got into the house, which was ready and had been cleaned. Tried to open windows, many of which were either painted shut, in such poor repair that they couldn’t stay open, or had no screens. Kitchen is very bright, clean, and cheerful. Didn’t use washer/dryer. Downstairs bedroom (queen) is quite dark and not terribly clean. Full bath. Shower was nice. Plenty of towels. Living room has great view of the ocean although the windows could really use washing. Didn’t use fireplace. Carpet throughout house is very worn, has many burn marks, and is not clean. Furniture is very worn and extremely uncomfortable. Living room futon is so lumpy, worn, and tilted that it is not usable. Wall-mounted TV, VCR (!), landline (!), and DVD player. Did not use TV or peripherals. Back porch could be very nice if tidied up. Not safe for small children. Stairs and railing to backyard are unsafe. Upstairs sitting area is very nice. Didn’t use TV. Two usable chairs. Futon is quite lumpy, worn, and uncomfortable. Biggest issues were cleanliness, windows, and WiFi-internet. WiFi is difficult to connect to and so unreliable that it is practically useless. Had to reboot modem and WiFi many, many times. Modem and WiFi wiring is a nightmare. If owners would spend a couple of weeks cleaning and updating and resolve internet issues it could be a fine place. However we cannot recommend it based on our experience.

This is a very well maintained, pet-friendly property at a great location. However, the living room furniture was not as pictured. The couch is a broken hide-a-bed that is extremely uncomfortable to sit on. The matching chair is just as uncomfortable. The bedrooms are as pictured and the beds are uncomfortable as well. We even considered returning home early because it was so bad. We were hugely disappointed.

I’m really struggling with the impulse to gate-keep this amazing property—it’s that good. For example (and this list is not exhaustive): The view is spectacular; the beach access cannot be beat; the house is clean & better stocked than my own house; the beds are comfortable & the bedding is clean; the couches looked brand new; the floor-to-ceiling windows were spotless, and I don’t know how I vacationed before without this laundry room. The hosts have thought of literally everything. (My kids were enchanted by the beach-themed plush.) We come to the Oregon coast every year & we won’t be staying anywhere else moving forward. Just, WOW.

Very comfortable, nicely furnished and supplied beach cottage. It is in a new subdivision of cottages tightly squeezed side by side, but has access through the back door into a magical coastal rainforest with a couple of miles of trails. which made the location a five star for our family. Six beach cruisers and two kayaks were also a hit, increasing enjoyment of trips to town; the beach and river. Pacific City has small beach town charm and is off the busy 101, and this house had everything we needed to have a wonderful stay, including quick and helpful responses from our host. Thank you!

What an amazing experience for our first trip to the Oregon coast. Absolutely stunning views of the ocean that never get old. The property is very private, and felt like a magical retreat for our kids. And the stairs down to the beach was like a portal to another world. Walks on the beach were awesome, watching seals from the Waldport bay was amazing, and a breakfast stop at the local bakery (Chubby Little Mermaid) was icing on the cake for us!

We rented this house recently for a birthday weekend. The view from the house and the location can\'t be beat. However, that\'s where the good points end. The description of the house clearly states there is cable/satellite. This is not true! There is no cable TV at all. I called the office to get assistance, was told that someone would stop by, yet nobody ever did. I surmise it\'s because they knew all along there was no cable TV. There is an Amazon fire stick, yet the WiFi is so bad that you couldn’t actually watch anything. We attempted to stream from our computer with no luck, again because the WiFi is almost non-existent. And forget about any kind of cell phone signal. This house was just lacking the attention to detail. At least two windows at the back of the house (that face the ocean) have broken seals and you can\'t see out of them. A couple of the lights in the kitchen are missing lightbulbs. Not sure if the master bedroom had been vacuumed as there were several dust bunnies around the room. There were only 2 outdoor chairs. It would be nice if there were enough for all the guests to sit on. Oh, and there was someone\'s icky retainer in the sink drain...gross!

Wow, this place was absolutely incredible! Breathtaking ocean views, huge windows that open. Very clean, beautiful modern home. Well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds. Fun game room with board games, cards, ping pong table, Nintendo switch with games-awesome! Great for rainy days. There is a sand dune to go down in order to get to the water and climb back up to get back to the house. Responsive host. Perfect family getaway, we made wonderful memories here and will definitely return in the future. Thanks!

Great house right on the beach! Roomy living room with comfortable couches and big picnic style dining room table. The kitchen was fully equipped and the Fiestaware dishes were a nice touch. Just a welcoming and thoughtful home to enjoy the beauty of Pacific City!

Capeside Lookout is a super cute and well-appointed home, new to the Open Nest Family. I love how this home feels from the moment you walk in the door. High-quality finishes, warm and inviting colors and furnishings, and the state-of-the-art kitchen all contribute to the relaxing ambiance of this two-bedroom home. I would choose Capeside Lookout if you are looking for a family-friendly property that has incredible views and access to the community clubhouse. Honestly SO GOOD! Lots of thoughtful amenities, well stocked kitchen and the Primary Bathroom/Shower was heavenly! Not to mention like the other reviewers beautiful views throughout the day. Lots of deer sightings and our 2 littles loved adventuring around the property. Haven Hill is super close to everything you could need in Pacific City and just a great place to get away from it all! We will be back for sure!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay (8 adults) at this house! Well equipped kitchen (except coffee filters) to enjoy all our gourmet, home-cooked meals! Set-up of rooms was great for our group (though it looked like bunk beds/full futon had its own room rather than just the upstairs landing) and everything was clean and cozy!

We usually rent newer and bigger houses than this one. Considering that...we very much loved this house. It is older...but well cared for. Bedrooms down stairs are VERY tiny but the wonderful beds are so comfortable. Ocean side bedroom is quite, the other one that is down stairs you can hear road noise. The upstairs bedroom is quite and larger...though the bathroom is very low ceiling and tiny...having just a toilet and sink...but very convenient to have for sure! Kitchen is upgraded, living room furniture is very nice. Everything was VERY clean and cozy. We would recommend and would stay again. One suggestion is: the upstairs bedroom has the best view, however, there is a tree that the biggest branch is dead anyway and it totally obstructs view of Twin Rocks. Removing that branch would make that view PERFECT.

Location was stunning, the house was truly on the bach with Haystack Rock basically in the backyard. Everything was very clean, the kitchen was well-stocked, and it was super kid friendly. Pelican Pub was basically next door and it was close to lots of nice walking trails. Super happy with our stay!

We stayed over Mother\'s Day weekend. We didn\'t use much of the townhouse (kitchen/living room/guest room), as it was just 2 of us and we spent our time on the beach. We just used the master bedroom/en-suite bathroom. The location is great - 1 block from the beach & just a couple blocks from town. Our biggest complaint was the noise from the unit next door. They let their 3 kids run wild through the house (including racing up and down the stairs and banging on everything) until 1:00 AM. There is not much insulation between the units and we could not sleep. We were minutes from calling in a noise complaint to the police. The outside of the unit is dirty and not maintained well. The outside front door light is burned out and absolutely filthy and the grounds are a bit overgrown. Our other complaint was the TV. There are only 4 channels to choose from and my husband was not happy that all the other channels were \"unavailable\".
