My family and friends enjoyed the Lakeside Caboose vacation rental at Rockaway Beach. The house was well appointed with new copper pans, and had everything we needed for homemade meals....minus the food. We loved from views - the Pacific Ocean and from Lake Lydel - both of them from the living room. The safe-path from the house welcomed beautiful kites high above above, as we looked for treasures along the sand. The 3 bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms allowed our mixed group to be successful, with space for everyone. The kitchen was full of light and full of laughter as we cooked and ate an amazing meal! A 8-block walk to downtown Rockaway was easy. We enjoyed a nice breakfast at Grumpy\'s cafe. We had a very nice time here, and look forward to returning to the \"Caboose.\" We hope to make it to \"Bingo Night,\" at the Lyons Club next time. I\'ve heard that it\'s fun for all ages!

We rented this house because it has spa and fireplace. Non of them worked. We called management many times asking for help, but they were not very helpful. We were very disappointed. After our stay we sent them e-mail asking about reimbursement. They just did not replay.

Perfect location with access to the beach and a quick walk to a coffee shop, grocery store and pub . The first floor is very well laid out, comfortable beds, and a powder room on the first floor. The deck in the back yard is super - feels private and looks out on the beautiful landscaping. Great beach rental all around!!

We are leaving with back aches due to the bed being so uncomfortable. The bed seems old and every time you turned due to the bed being uncomfortable the bed squeaked not just a little squeak a terribly loud squeak. We didn’t get quality sleep on our well deserved vacation. When we got there the house needed to be cleaned better it was dusty and the bathroom had a couple blood splatters. The tub didn’t drain properly when taking a shower. The dryer takes at least x2 cycles to dry. The appliances are nice, there’s a lot of kitchen gadgets and plenty of plates and cups. Lots of towels. Pillows need to be replaced due to the fact that it is brown from stains. It’s kind of gross. The patio would have been amazing but the bbq was so old and I didn’t feel safe using it. The patio table was old and rusty looking and the two plastic chairs were filthy and not safe looking. This home was close to shopping and the beautiful beach. There are no games, so bring your own games. Bring your own dryer sheets, laundry soap, dish soap, spices, bathroom supplies. Plus air freshener because it smells of mildew. There are no curtains for the back patio slider door and back door and kitchen window. We felt exposed. No privacy. Some tiles were broken in the kitchen. Watch your toes. Hopefully they work on the things that need working on so the next person can have a better time there. Lincoln city is a lovely town.

If your looking for privacy, as we were, your not going to get that here, the owners live in the main house. If you look at the pictures of the house with the deck, what your renting is the 400sqft living space with the sliding glass door below and two big windows on top. To the left the owners lives. They keep the blinds shut for privacy, but you don\'t feel it. Yes, the place is small but fine for us (4 adults would be extremely tight). The beds need a major update, 1st floor bed is firm with the added bonus of feeling the bedsprings and the 2nd floor bed is very soft. The shower is small with little elbow room, my husband is 5\'8\" and it was hard for him to take a shower, the water came up to his chest. I would suggest putting in a hand held shower head. One of the recliners looked like it was broken so I didn\'t even try it the other my husbands tried and it reclined him so far back he was laying flat. That window also didn\'t have the best view the owners roof top took most of it. We were highly disappointed with the lack of waves crashing on the cliff even at hightide. There\'s a rock set off from the cliff that gets excellent wave explosion but you can only see it from the other window, the owners get most of the view. We did see a whale passing through during breakfast which is always cool to see. The place was clean, and provided majority of what you need bowls, plates, coffee mugs/glasses, utensils, dish soap/sponge, packets of detergent, pans, coffee maker (you will need to bring coffee, creamer & sugar), floor fan, extra bedding/pillows. The sliding glass door does lock and there\'s plenty of grass space for your dogs to do there business, also basic cable (10 channels maybe). Overall it was ok, but for the lack of privacy, bad beds, no waves crashing on the cliff and price (over $600 for 2 nights), we will not be staying here again. Do read the older reviews (2020) there\'s not much that has changed.

Everything is just perfect here. We really enjoyed the bikes and other toys. The cart to roll tour goodies to to the beach was a lifesaver! Love the large oversized shower head and super comfy beads! Can’t wait to get back.

This was the most beautiful beach house I’ve ever stayed in. The bathroom, bedrooms and living room are so close to the ocean it felt like we were in a grand ship — so it’s an extraordinary house to stay in even in stormy weather. The decorating is beautiful and cozy. It’s a gift to stay in this house

We stayed here for a weekend last summer, and enjoyed our time in Pacific city. This house is ideally located a 5 minute walk to the dune, but our favorite part is the back deck. It’s surrounded my grasses and trees, which gives it a private and serene feeling. We look forward to returning next year :-)

I have enjoyed staying at Haystack Haven on more than one occasion! The photos here are accurate and the list of amenities is spot on but the rainforest shower head really seems worth mentioning;-) Loved spending time in the kitchen which has more than you\'ll need to make a gourmet meal. Gas range is always a plus! The back deck is a great place to shuck oysters, crack crab and enjoy a beverage. I also enjoyed the visits from the local deer. Very comfortable beds too after a day of playing on the beach! I hope to get back there again sometime.

Your staff is some of the best that I've ever worked with. Compassionate, accommodating, and thought of everything! Couldn't have been a more perfect place for my mama's last journey to the Oregon Coast. Beautiful sunny days! We appreciate you all and will only rent from you for all our future visits!

We take an annual beach trip each fall with another family. This was our first time staying at this house and we really enjoyed it. It was spacious enough for four adults and four kids. The house is decorated nicely with comfy beds and the bunk room was one of the best we've encountered. Nice and thoughtful touches throughout, including sharp kitchen knives and sand toys in the garage. I would suggest bringing your own spices and baking pans if you plan to do extensive cooking, like casseroles or muffins. It was a great house, quiet neighborhood and close to the beach.

Our family enjoyed a magical weekend at Sunset Shores, 35895 Sunset Dr in Pacific City. There was enough room for our large family to stretch out and relax; the teenagers loved the game room! Views from the bird's nest were spectacular. The beach is only a short walk away. Furnishings are decorations are top notch. We would love to stay in this home again.

We had the true pleasure of spending a week at Casa Del Mar in Tierra Del Mar (Pacific City) Oregon. The house was perfect; cozy, comfortable pet friendly and location, location, location! The boat hull style of the homes was so unique. The house was clean, had all of the kitchen "stuff" we needed, nicely decorated by the owners, washer dryer and views, views, views. The only minor suggestion we had is to leave the garbage and recycling bins at the mouth of the driveway, where they are emptied early Monday mornings. We totally forgot (old dogs, new tricks) and it is only a few steps from where they are. In a nutshell, we LOVED it, will be back and will DEFINITELY use Open Nest again!

I just extended my stay as I am loving The Lookout. The whitewater views are through every front facing window, deck, hot tub, firepit, bedrooms and front door. Lovely smaller house and well appointed. Very clean. Super comfy bed upstairs. Warm in colder weather. Close enough to everything. Private for the most part. Will make this an annual event.

Great location for a relaxing getaway. Views are unmatched. Kitchen has an array of pots pans and dishes. Clean. Spiral staircase is cute if not a little difficult for my elderly mother to maneuver. Perfect one bedroom down and one up.

Pros: The location is perfect, just a block from beach access. House size/appliances met our needs & we had access to the garage which was very helpful/appreciated! With the exceptions of the \"cons\" mentioned below, it was clean enough. CONS: No plastic plates/cups for kids & the table/chairs were far too high to reach safely for younger kids. There is no trash can in the bathroom & Mold growing on the ceiling. The doors/cabinets by the handles were filthy! Kitchen floor has serious issues-there are areas of water damage & soft spots on the floor. The bed in the main bedroom is VERY squeaky/loud! Any time a person rolls over the entire house knows-it\'s not conducive to a restful sleeping environment. Another thing that should be noted is the size of the driveway is short. We had to park our full size truck width ways as we would be in the road had we parked any other way.If you have a smaller/shorter vehicle this should not be an issue & 2 vehicles might fit. Bring trash bags/laundry/dishwashing soap if you have a family. There are a few provided but they want you to use these for cleaning upon your departure. LASTLY, the cust.svc w/OBV was subpar & very disappointing! We had called to inquire about the remote to the DVD player as there wasn\'t one. The listing stated a DVD player is provided however if your DVD needs a remote to use the menu function to play, you cannot play DVD\'s. We were told that someone would call us later that day, after 7 hours we called to follow up as we had not been contacted, only to be treated poorly w/a condescending attitude & then hung up on. So glad we didn\'t have a major issue that required assistance as we would most likely been SOL based off this experience. Overall, since we got a lower rate it was a nice place for what it was, however we would NOT spend any more for this place given the above mentioned issues & the experience we had w/OBV, that was very disappointing!

5-star View and Furnishings: Waves, Sunset, Beach, Birds. Watching the water was just mesmerizing. Furniture to watch from very comfortable. Overall house appearance top notch with very well equipped kitchen, sparking clean house and attractive decorations. But my perception of Paradise doesn\'t have full garage cans, wrong wifi password, king bed with mountain ridges, slopes and narrow soft valleys, and a scary unmarked back step (from back door to back deck). Lucky we didn\'t experience falls.
