Welcome to Pelican's Landing, located in Depoe Bay! This gorgeous, two story home boasts two bedrooms and three baths with amazing oceanfront views from the balcony and large backyard. Up to four guests and your favorite four legged pal will never want to leave this prime whale watching spot on the coast.

Upon entering Pelican's Landing, you'll find yourself in the foyer with a staircase to your left leading to the game room downstairs. A washer and dryer are conveniently placed in the washroom at the top of the stairs for you to use during your stay. A gorgeous view awaits you, right in front of your eyes! The living room offers plenty of sunlight streaming in through the west facing windows where you'll have a world class view of the Pacific Ocean no matter what the time of year. Whales come close to the shoreline here in Depoe Bay, so keep your eyes peeled, and you'll most likely see them several times during your trip. The owners have also provided the home with a telescope and binoculars to help you spot them as well. Relax on the large U-shaped couch while you catch up with your friends and family, or cozy up with a bowl of popcorn around the wood fireplace while a movie plays on the flat screen.  You'll also have access to a DVD/Blu-Ray player, Wi-Fi, board games, cable TV, and more.

The dining room table sits just behind the couch, with room for all of your guests, along with a gorgeous view out the windows. Enjoy the waves lapping against the shoreline while you feast on a delicious, homemade meal made right in the kitchen. The kitchen has everything you might need to create something special for your loved ones. You'll have access to a refrigerator, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, oven/stovetop, dishwasher, and plenty of silverware, dish-ware, and pots and pans. Feel free to enjoy a quick breakfast at the kitchen island before heading out. You'll have more than enough counter space for groceries and more, and the views are just as beautiful from the kitchen as the rest of the room.

The back deck is perfect for catching some sun as you listen to the crash of the waves on the shoreline. You'll also find a BBQ and outdoor furniture to relax on during your stay, so bring the ribs and fire up the grill during your summer stay.

The bedrooms are also on this floor, just down the hallway, along with the first bathroom containing a shower/tub combo. The first bedroom contains a queen bed and a private bath with a walk-in shower and his and hers sinks. A small TV hangs above a dresser for you to place your clothes during your stay. You and your loved one can enjoy a quiet movie before drifting off to sleep. The second bedroom is highly coveted, containing a queen bed with a picture perfect view of the water. You'll also have a row of dressers to use for your belongings during your stay, as well as a flat screen TV.

Head downstairs to the lower level, and you'll find a family room that the kids will absolutely love. A large futon couch sits in front of a 65" plasma screen TV where you can watch the game or just have a movie night inside. Behind you, you'll see a ping pong table, shuffleboard, foosball table, and an arcade game. A third bathroom sits on this floor, containing a shower/tub combo. You'll have more breathtaking views of the water from this floor, as well as the backyard and hot tub. Relax in the hot tub with a glass of wine and your loved one after a long day on the beach.

While staying in the area, take a stroll on the beach while searching for whales, explore the tide pools, or feel free to bring your surfing gear from home and hit the waves. You can also travel south into Newport to visit the Oregon Coast Aquarium. Book your stay at Pelican's Landing with Oregon Beach Vacations today!

Beach access can be found right out back down an embankment. Easier beach access can be found south at Beverly Beach State Park, about 10 minutes south of Pelican's Landing.

"My husband and I stayed with my parents. We had plenty of space to social distance inside and dine on the deck outside. We had a wonderful weekend and loved staring at the ocean view."

Front row seat to the ocean

"The view is extraordinary. We had a pleasant stay. There are a few things that could improve it. It lacks a person touch. It's missing hooks to hang coats. No hooks in bathrooms. There is no place to hang towels or store gear near the hot tub. Which is a problem in the rain. The hot tub needed cleaning. It was slimy. Be considerate of the neighbors, they got mad when we stepped on their property to get a quick photo of an interesting rock formation. It happens a lot."

Great location, lackluster house

Overall satisfaction: Property condition: Location: Cleanliness: Services from rental manager:

"Beautiful location on a quiet street with promised ocean views. There is a new large house next door that blocks the view to the south, as others have noted. The description says you can access the water, but we couldn't figure it out, it's a rocky section of beach with a steep drop off from the yard. The house has a good layout and a new kitchen with nice appliances. But a lot of the furniture is too large for the space, which makes it feel tight inside and hard to move around. There were no kitchen provisions other than salt, pepper, and vegetable oil (maybe a COVID protocol but would have been nice to know in advance for things like sugar, coffee filters, etc.). Overall a fine place to spend a couple days but be sure to bring your own creature comforts. "

Lovely place to spend a few days

Overall satisfaction: Property condition: Location: Cleanliness: Services from rental manager:

"Nice property with lovely view, good whale watching. Before picking nits, it is worth mentioning that I would definitely recommend staying here. First, the view pictured in the listing has been reduced by a new home just south of P.L. The listing should be updated, but it is still a terrific view. Dishwasher failed- that happens, no big deal. Outdoor grill was disgusting and TV/ Media remotes unclean; the latter is not acceptable, especially during the COVID pandemic. But again, this is a nice home in a beautiful location. I would stay here again and offer small gripes in the spirit of constructive feedback. "

October 5 through 9 2020 stay

Overall satisfaction: Property condition: Location: Cleanliness: Services from rental manager:

"Overall the experience was great! Minor issues were house was a little dusty and some of the dishes were not very clean. Some Covid concerned may have had a bigger issue with that than we did. We couldn't figure out which room was master so tried both. Furniture was too large for living area and recliners would have been nice. The only real complaint we had was the hot tub was 72 degrees when we arrived and it took overnight to heat up. We were so looking forward to a soak after our days travel. Some privacy around the tub is necessary. Workers next door and windows viewing from both neighboring properties made it kind of weird. A fire pit by the chairs on cliff edge would be a nice touch. Tongs in kitchen and some wooden or plastic scratch free utensils would be nice to have as well. Blinds in bedrooms were impossible to raise making opening windows difficult. Maybe think about a small cover over bbq area? "

Relaxing oceanfront views

Overall satisfaction: Property condition: Location: Cleanliness: Services from rental manager:

"Nice house that’s been updated. Finally a place with a decent bed that was comfortable. We were treated with whale sightings almost every day! Thankful for pretty good weather but still enjoyed the games in the basement. Used the hot tub plenty! Only thing that was disappointing was the new giant house being built completely blocking the view south. It’s not in photos. Thankfully for us they at least weren’t working so it was quiet. "

A Beautiful View, But . . .

Overall satisfaction: Property condition: Location: Cleanliness: Services from rental manager:

"Pelican’s Landing was ideally located between Lincoln City and Newport, so we had the opportunity to explore in both directions. The rental management staff was professional and helpful—no issues there. The house, however, was not at all clean. We rented here because of the pet friendly opportunity, but it was clear that other pets had visited—along the baseboards, under the furniture. The glass was not clean on the table and dishes and utensils had been put away dirty. Now, especially, this just was not acceptable. The barbecue mentioned in a past post was STILL filthy, so our husbands spent time making sure it was useable and clean. Overall, the home was a bit underwhelming."

A little disappointed

Overall satisfaction: Property condition: Location: Cleanliness: Services from rental manager:

"Lets start with the good points. The house was very nice and extremely clean. We were very comfortable with the condition considering the COVID-19. The neighborhood was great and the view was good. The negative-the lawn was VERY long and looked like it hadn't been mowed in a month. There is a house next door that is being built and blocks half of the view. They were putting up siding the whole time we were there and couldn't sit on the deck or even keep the sliding door open because of the noise (I understand that is not the owners fault). The view was great but nothing like the pictures. They need to update the photos with the new house in them. The basement was fun but the ceilings are only 6 feet so if you are over 6' tall it is hard to enjoy the games. We loved the location and view but with the above mentioned items it wasn't as good as we had hoped."
