Oregon Summer Getaway
Summer is the best time to visit the Oregon coast. Birdwatching is at its peak during the summer season. There are hundreds of different species of birds along the coast. See everything from Tufted Puffins to Brown Pelicans and Bald Eagles. Pick up an Oregon Coast birding trail brochure at any visitor center on the coast and make sure to bring your binoculars!
Horseback riding on the beach is a popular summer activity along the entire coast. Most towns have a local stable that offers daily rides. The Oregon Dunes are another hot spot for recreation. Fireworks and parades can be found in just about every town along the coast on the 4th of July.
