Recent Reviews About This Property

Wonderful time

"We had a wonderful time at The Tides. The family loved the charm of the house and the story behind the home. There was plenty of room for everyone and no waiting for bathrooms. We loved being right on the promenade and easy access to the beach was amazing. "

"Very relaxing. I wish there was a teapot or electric kettle provided. The weather was not the best, but the home was warm and comfortable to relax and enjoy each other.

"Perfectly located! A very clean home with plenty of space, beautiful bedroom views of the ocean and able to accommodate our family and guests of 8 very comfortably. New carpet throughout was a nice surprise. Bedrooms were updated looking with comfortable mattresses. We used the gas grill outside and the cookware in the house was of nice quality, which made meal-prep and cleanup a snap. Basic check-out instructions were no big deal - thanks for that!

Things to consider before you book: This is an older but well-maintained home. The built-in shelves and cabinets are part of the charm! Main bedrooms (with king and queen beds) are located up a very narrow stairway. The one bedroom on the main floor has two twin beds.

Property management left notes explaining that they are working on repairing windows (couldn't open during our stay).

We would have appreciated a couple touches like couch pillows when watching a movie and having more than one key available for our group of multiple adults instead of retrieving the one from the lock-box each time (we were in and out a lot for an event at the convention center).

Overall, a nice, large, and reasonably priced home on the Prom.

"Our party of 6-8 people loved how the kitchen was well outfitted and the house was large enough to provide privacy as well as space. The windows helped the interior of the house to have plenty of natural light. This is not a "fancy" house but a quaint beach house in a great location. We will come back in the future."

Steve B. from Portland, 06/15/2017

"Had a great time, perfect layout and location. Only complaint is for a large non-refundable cleaning fee, I would expect the gray bedspread washed after each renter (one bed was covered in white dog hair from previous visitor). One bathroom was not very clean, and the windows/window sills were filthy. "

"Our stay was wonderful. The house was perfect for 10 of us. 6 adults and 4 children. We love the location and plan to come back again! We didn't meet any staff. The emails for our arrival led us directly to the house and no problems with the code or anything in the house. The only negative thing was on the last day of our stay, July 4th. There were some men using chain saws early in the morning and throughout the day two houses down and across the promenade. Besides the noise of the saws all day they were burning what they cut down and the smoke came right toward our vacation rental and all the rentals on down. They said they were hired by the home owner to clean it up because homeless people had been camping in there. 4th of July, really?! We couldn't sit outside the house for our BBQ. We had to eat indoors because of the thick choking smoke. I wish they would have hauled off what they cut instead of burning it there. We saw a police officer there and then found out Seaside had issued a permit for them to burn. Nothing he could do about it. Vacation rentals and tourism support the city. That permit had a negative effect on our vacation."

"It was very easy and awesome experience. Everything was as advertised. The house was awesome. Had lots of room and being on the beach was great. "

Abby S. from Yakima, 07/10/2017

"Excellent- everything you need and want in a beach house!"
